Want a full-body workout on your own time, without a class schedule?
Don’t sweat it! Specialized fitness center 9Round, open since July 17th, is a great new option. The gym is located at 2153 E. County Road 540A in the Publix Shopping Plaza and owned by Kristen and Eric Stehle.
The second 9Round will open on January 15th in the Oakbridge Publix Plaza on Harden Blvd, across from Lakeside Village and right next to Target. This one will be bigger, due to the overwhelming demand the gym received at their first location.
What makes 9Round different? There are no class schedules.
The gym maintains personal trainers constantly on site, and workouts consist of nine, three-minute exercises that include cardio, weight training, abdominal exercises, and kicks and punches in various styles. A loud boxing bell screams out to mark the start of a new workout, and another rings to warn that the station is ending in thirty seconds. A third bell signals the end of the round. Members have a 30-second active break between rounds to recover from their high-intensity workout. Routines change daily, giving members a fresh workout every time they walk in.
9Round of Lakeland is open weekdays and Saturday mornings, and first-time visitors are welcome to a free 30-minute workout. For more information, visit or call (863) 606-5742.
