It’s that time of year! The Red, White & KABOOM event is here along Lake Mirror! An amazing lineup of food trucks makes this event something you cannot miss. Celebrate America, friends, and food with your neighbors and family.

This event is free to the public, but everyone is encouraged to donate at least one non-perishable food item to benefit VISTE. VISTE is a community based non-profit organization serving Lakeland, and their primary goal is to enable elderly persons to continue living independently and safely in their own homes. If you cannot bring a food item, then a $2 donation is asked of you. It can be paid for at the event or through their brand new text service! Donate easily by texting FEEDLAKELAND to 50155

Make sure you come ready to eat because there will be a great line-up of food trucks and, back by popular demand, the watermelon eating contest! It will take place around 7:00pm.

In addition to extensive food trucks, the celebration will feature live music at Lake Mirror along the Frances Langford Promenade on Tuesday, July 3rd from 6:00pm – 9:15pm with a fantastic firework display to dazzle generations.

Clemons Road Band will be giving us a great show at this year’s Red, White, & KABOOM. The band describes their music as country with an island twist, paying respects to great legends such as Sublime, Alan Jackson, Dave Matthews, and Jimmy Buffet. You wont want to miss the energetic show and delicious food available at this Fourth of July bash.

This event is free to the public, but again, everyone is encouraged to donate at least one non-perishable food item to benefit VISTE.
