For the past few months, we’ve been driving by Hillcrest Coffee with our fingers crossed that the lights were on and open for visitors. Well, my fellow caffeine addicts, no more crossing our fingers, Hillcrest now has set weekly hours and are open for business!
Owner, Brian Goding, has been busy renovating the 90-year-old historic home in Dixieland and transformed it into Lakeland’s newest, and coziest, coffee shop. On the menu are pastries, tea and brews from a few familiar roasters, including Patriot Coffee.
Hillcrest is full of comfy couches to lounge on, tables for chatting around and even a fire place for gazing at on those days that are cooler than most. Tucked away in the back is a conference room that can accommodate groups for business meetings, tutoring or gatherings.
Within the next few months, Hillcrest also plans to include live music, board game nights and book readings. We’re so excited to have Hillcrest Coffee open and can’t wait to see what fun there will be in the near future. Make sure to follow them on Facebook for frequent updates.
