The Happiest Hours in Lakeland

The end of a long day certainly warrants a “treat yo’self” moment, but you don’t want to break the bank. We totally understand the feeling, so we put together a list of some of the happiest hours in town.  They’re all a little different, so try something new this week and check them out!

Cob & Pen

Cob & Pen have made a name for themselves in the short time they’ve been in operation, but their happy hour deals have somehow stayed hidden. Every day from 4PM to 6PM, then again from 10PM to 2AM, select brews are only $3 a pop, and it’s $5 for a glass of wine. But wait, there’s more. Different deals are featured on each day of the week! On Mondays and Tuesdays, regular happy hour deals last all day long, and Tuesday gets you half price wine bottles and $3 mimosas. Wednesdays from 4PM to 10PM is $8 Beer & Brat night, and “Fry”-days are for $2 fries or specialty fries for $5. The weekend “Yappy Hour” lasts from 11AM to 4PM, where mimosas and champagne cocktails are $3, champagne bottles and juice are only $15, Micheladas are $5, and your doggo can get a free Benson’s Canine Cookie just for showing up!

Terrace Grille

The Terrace Grille in downtown always has incredible eats for any occasion. Their bar serves up your favorites in an absolutely ideal location, and picturesque Lake Mirror serves as the backdrop. If you make it there on a weekday, there are pretty killer drink deals from 4:30PM to 6:30PM. Show up to get $3.75 domestic beers, $3 house wines, and $3.75 well liquors (excluding martinis and sangrias). In the same time frame, select appetizers are half off, so you can wine and dine on a budget. If you’re feeling fancy, you can dress to the nines. You won’t feel or look out of place, promise!

Lakeland Brewing Company

Lakeland Brewing Company is one of the best places in town to sit outside, relax, and enjoy the unbeatable Lakeland sunset, and they have some pretty stellar beers on tap, too. Craft beers at their finest are available every day, but from 4PM to 6PM on weekdays, it’s recess. Take a much needed break from the busy work week, and get yourself a select craft brew from Lakeland Brewing for half off. Unfortunately, four square and dodgeball will not be played at this time.

Fresco’s just flipped the whole city on its head by unveiling  bottomless mimosas every day for just $12, but that’s not the only deal they have going on. Tuesday to Friday from 4PM to 7PM, Fresco’s has a pretty unbelievable happy hour menu. For the self-branded sommeliers, house wine will be 2 for 1. The featured craft cocktail will be $2 cheaper from 4:00-7:00 as well, and specialty punches will be $5. You can get a sangria carafe to split (or not, no judgment here) for $10. If you want a little something to nibble on while you enjoy the drink specials, all bar appetizers are only $5! As if these deals aren’t good enough, happy hour means 20% off your entire check. Not bad, Fresco’s, not bad at all.

Harry’s Seafood Bar & Grille

Harry’s in downtown has the goods. Every day from 2PM to 7PM, there are drink deals galore. Draft beer will only cost you $3, house wine and premium cocktails will only run you $4, and super premium cocktails and Harry’s signature cocktails are $5. Enjoy cajun style dishes and get yourself a drink, you deserve it. If you make it on Tuesday, it’s Fat Tuesday, and happy hour deals will last all day!

Square 1

This joint does more than burgers, and their happy hour is up there for best in show. With deals from 3PM to 6PM on the daily, Square 1 also offers deals for specific days of the week. On Monday (again from 3PM to 6PM), you can get your puppers a meal with a purchase of two human meals! All-American Tuesdays hooks it up with a burger and a beer for only $11.99. Wednesdays has onion rings for $4 a basket, and Thursdays dishes out $5 martinis, $4 Moscow Mules, and $3 select beers from 3PM to close. The weekend called for $4 Bloody Mary’s, mimosas, and poinsettias all day, and Square 1 delivered.

Winners Circle

Possibly the most underrated happy hour in Lakeland belongs to Winners Circle on the south side of town. If you’re there, it’s probably happy hour. It lasts from 3PM to 7PM on Mondays, 11AM to 7PM Tuesday to Saturday, and all day on Sunday. The only catch is the 79 cent wings don’t apply on Saturday like they do on every other day of the week. If you’re looking for beer, this is certainly not a bad place to stop. $1.75 pints, $6.50 pitchers, $2.00 bottles, and $2.50 wells can accompany you in your sports-watching venture. To make up for their late start on Mondays (only assuming, of course), Winners Circle offers $1 tacos from 7PM to 10PM! Go catch a game and take advantage of these awesome deals!

Chop Shop

Chop Shop is getting the love lately. Not only do they serve up some of the best burgers in town, but have some pretty sweet happy hour deals as well. Every single day, house wines and margaritas are buy one, get one, no restrictions. Not a bad way to wash down a perfectly crafted burger. Monday to Thursday from 3PM to 7PM, Chop Shop also hooks it up with great drink deals. All domestic beers are half off, craft drafts are $1 off, and all liquor drinks are $1 too! This place has it all.

Mellow Mushroom

The work week gets a whole lot better knowing that Mellow Mushroom happy hour exists. Monday to Friday from 3PM to 7PM, Mellow has you covered for drinks and snacks. Quench your craving by getting $1 off ALL drafts, $3.25 house wine, $4 wells, and $5 select appetizers. If a delicious pizza loaded to the crust with unbelievable toppings won’t be enough for dinner, these happy hour deals should take care of the vacancy in your tummy.

Brass Tap

Rounding out the list is a Lakeside Village favorite. Every week from Monday to Friday, happy hour at the Brass Tap lasts from open to 7:00pm. As far as drinks go, select drafts are $4.25 and house wine and sangria is only $4 a pop. If you need a little drinky fuel, there are awesome steals on food as well! $4 tacos and pizzas, $5 quesadillas and pretzel pieces, $6 mac n’ cheese, $7 sliders and chips, chips n’ dip, and nachos should take care of whatever you’re in the mood for.
