The YLakeland Campus Ambassador Program provides a hands-on experience with the Lakeland community, local leaders and other like-minded individuals outside of the university. The program allows students to take pride in the city they live in and through YLakeland promote the community and assets that make Lakeland unique. Through an increased level of student involvement and personal connections made in the community, the program is designed to help recruit and retain talent here in Lakeland.

Sounds too good to be true doesn’t it? Well it’s not. The YLakeland Campus Ambassador Program is for those who are passionate about Lakeland and love telling others about everything it has to offer. You’ll have the opportunity to get connected to the community while making a difference here in Lakeland. You’ll also be able to make your own hours and learn to be an entrepreneur, all while earning an extra buck.
As a Campus Ambassador you’re responsible for ensuring that a positive and credible image is delivered amongst the student community by continually marketing and promoting YLakeland. You are responsible for working with the key people on campus in order to bring ideas and plans to life. Through the ambassador program you will collaborate with others, build relationships and most importantly have fun!

Upload a one minute (maximum length) video telling us a little about why you are the perfect person to represent YLakeland and Lakeland.
Keep it casual, tell us your background, favorite things about Lakeland, involvement on campus and your hidden talents because why not? Don’t be afraid to have fun!
Once you’ve completed the application, tell your friends. Sharing our posts through your social channels will definitely get our attention.
Do I need to be a student?
We have also opened the Campus Ambassador Program up to Grad Assistants this semester as well. As long as you are attending a university and within between the age of 18-24 you qualify to apply.
How long does the program last?
The Campus Ambassador Program lasts the length of one academic semester. Ambassadors may re-apply to stay on for a longer duration however must reapply for the program each semester.
When do I get paid?
As part of the Ambassador Program, you’re required to meet monthly and review progress as well as brainstorm potential opportunities. The payments are provided at each group meeting and broken out evenly into 4 event payments. The potential bonus payment is provided at the conclusion of the required project and only if predetermined tasks are met.
