In 2016, our beloved Polk Museum of Art celebrated its 50th anniversary of bringing creativity and art to the swan city. It is the largest and the only nationally accredited visual arts organization in Polk County in addition to being a Smithsonian Affiliate Museum since 2010. By gearing their galleries towards children, teens, and adults alike, the art museum provides breadth and depth to a broad geographic area.

The PMoA’s permanent collection includes over 2,500 works of art from Rembrandt van Rijn, Andy Warhol, Faith Ringgold, Pablo Picasso, Miriam Shapiro, James Rosenquist, and many others.

And the best part about this award-winning museum? It’s always free.
