For the ambitious early risers: join County Commissioner Bob English for the New Year’s Day Hike at Circle B Bar Reserve, one of Lakeland’s recently re-opened wildlife attractions. The hike is free and will start at 9 am at 4399 Winter Lake Road in Lakeland (off of Bartow Highway on Winter Lake Drive. Go towards Polk State College and make a left onto Winter Lake Drive about a mile before the college). For more information, see the County’s Circle B Bar Reserve website and their trail map.
