Welcome Back!
Former YLakeland intern, Savannah Eaves has returned from her trip to Argentina. Savannah, a Spanish minor, went there to study abroad and perfect her fluency in the language. Everyone was really curious to what Argentina was like including me, so I asked her a few questions about her time there. Savannah was in Argentina for almost 4 months doing a study abroad program. She had a lot of fun and it really helped her Spanish, however she said she did miss things from home such as Chik-fil-A and her family. She said it was also hard at first being unaware of her surroundings, and being in a foreign place where she didn’t know the language 100%.
One of her favorite memories from the trip was her visit to Iguazu Falls. Iguazu Falls has HUGE waterfalls that are on the border of Brazil and Argentina. These falls are even taller than Niagara Falls. Savannah said it was really beautiful and a great experience.
Now that Savannah is back in Lakeland she is going to be working with the Student Leadership Program, spending time with her friends and family, trying to keep up with her Spanish, and adjusting to being back in the U.S. Savannah will return to South America in June for a 6 month internship, but until then welcome back!

The Niagara Falls area has to be my most favorite vacation destination. Each occasion I visit I discover new things that I fall in love with.
