New Neighborhood Wine Market

December 15th, 2009 12:08 pm | by Kristy Myers

Out of the blue it seems, a new wine market has made its home in the historic district/ FSC area of Lakeland. Red Door Wine Market has opened up in the space located on the corner of Tennessee Ave and McDonald St. This new wine market has a small, homey feel to it, and though I haven’t been yet, it looks charming and inviting, plus it is in a GREAT location for wine enthusiasts residing in the area.

The Red Door Wine Market sells bottles of wine and also has a small bar and seating area for having a drink there. They sell a variety of wines, and have a few speciality beers on tap including Left Hand Brewery, Sawtooth Ale and Milk Stout, and Erie Brewery’s ‘Ol Red Ale.

The idea of this wine market is to create the feeling that you have been invited over to a friends house for a glass of wine and according to their Facebook page “bring a California vineyard experience right to Lakeland!”. For people living in the area, this place makes picking up a bottle of wine to bring to that next holiday party extra easy and convenient! Red Door Wine Market looks very cozy and like it would make a great place for a casual date or drinks with girl friends. I can’t wait to stop in for a glass.

Red Door Wine Market is open Monday- Thursday 10am-8pm and Thursday-Saturday from 10am-10pm or later.
