If you are looking for something different to do and taste, Grass Root Organic Restaurant in Lakeland is having a Biodynamic wine tasting this Friday night.

What’s Biodynamic wine? I had never heard of this before until I read about it. Biodynamic wine is organic and uses grapes grown the “green” way. Biodynamic agriculture uses crop rotation, recycles minerals and nutrients throughout the soil, and uses green manure to fertilize the crops. This farming technique also takes into account the celestial and astrological influence on the soil and plant growth.

Grass Root has three different wines on their menu, and I’m not sure if they will have anymore to taste on Friday. They have a Tempranillo Red, Chardonnay, and Torrontes White. A glass costs between $7 and $8 depending which one you choose. You can also buy the bottle.

Grass Root will be serving homemade french baguettes with herbs de Province to compliment the wine as well as other hor dourves.

For an all natural wine tasting experience complete with healthy hor dourves , visit Grass Root this Friday anytime after 6:30pm.

Grass Root is located on South Florida Avenue. For more information click HERE
