I read in The Ledger the other day that Toys for Tots is running low on toys for children this year, which is really sad. Even though times are tough for everybody, it is important to do what you can for those who are less fortunate, especially when it comes to kids. According to the article I read, Toys for Tots has recieved applications for around 9,000 children this year and does not have enough toys for the demand.

Tomorrow, Saturday December 5th, leave a new toy by your mailbox and your mail carrier will collect it. Toys for Tots is in need of dolls, trucks, and board games for kids ages 3-13. If you live on campus, check with your school to see if they have a donation area set up as many of them do. As college students we are still at the point where we don’t have to buy tons of Christmas gifts for families and our own children, so it’s even easier to help others.

I hate to think about any little kid not having something to open on Christmas, so I’m headed to the store today to pick something up and I hope you’ll do the same!

their website HERE.
