Looking to get a taste of the holiday season? Check out these limited time treats being offered at various eateries this year.

Chick-fil-A offers the Peppermint Chocolate Chip Milkshake to sweeten the season. This hand-spun old fashioned milkshake features peppermint flavored ice cream, chocolate chips and of course whip cream and a cherry on top!

Dunkin Donuts has followed along with the peppermint theme for the holidays with their limited edition mint coffees and donuts. Try a peppermint mocha latte and a chocolate mint donut for a warm, soft alternative to the candy cane.

Steak and Shake has 3 limited time milkshake flavors available for the holidays. The Egg Nog shake, Dark Chocolate with Holiday Fudge shake and the White Chocolate with Holiday Fudge are holiday favorites at Steak and Shake.

Coldstone Creamery has a bunch of holiday menu options (all look delicious of course). Choose from one of their signature ice cream pies or try one of their new brownie batter treats. There is the Oreo Brownie Crunch, Oreo Fudge Brownie Cake, Brownie Batter Connection, and the Peanut Butter Brownie Bliss. These new treats should make this season rich, chocolatey and delicious.

Starbucks’ holiday coffees will keep you going while you finish up the semester. Starbucks sells their Christmas Blend coffee this time of year as well as some specialty lattes and mochas. This year they introduce the Caramel Brulee Latte, an espresso drink with the taste of the loved caramel dessert, creme brulee. If you enjoyed their Peppermint Mocha last year, it’s back along with the other favorite, Gingerbread Latte, but only for a limited time!

Publix also has some special limited Christmas items. Publix has a couple of holiday ice cream flavors to choose from. Every trimester a new ice cream flavor is released for a limited time. Holiday favorites include their Red Velvet Cake Ice cream and Peppermint Chip. These delicious flavors are created right here in Lakeland by the supermarket’s Dairy Science team and are very popular.

Don’t wait to try these holiday specials, they won’t be around long!
