This Christmas I am finding more and more great places to do my holiday shopping at in Lakeland. Just recently I was introduced to a boutique called Ivy House Designs located on Orleans Avenue, one block off of S.Florida Avenue near Southgate. It is on the corner of Easton St. and Orleans behind the Remax building.

This charming boutique offers a variety of home goods and designer clothing for women as well as offering interior design services. Ivy House Designs is locally owned and operated and has been in business for 6 years…however the owner has been in the business for about 12 years. Local businesses are always nice to see today in a world dominated by franchises and coorporations.

Ivy House Designs has small home items such as candles, lamps, decorations, picture frames and other cute items that are great for giving as a gift or buying for yourself. Ivy House Designs also carries bath products and home fragrances by nature inspired designer, Elizabeth W. San Fransisco. These beautifully packaged bath products and home fragrances look like they would make a really pretty gift for someone.

Now for my favorite part of the store, the clothing and accessories. Ivy House Designs is one two places (that I know of) in Lakeland that carries designer label clothing for women. They have a bunch of dresses, elegant shirts, jeans, skirts, and jackets for sale. Some of the designer names you’ll find at Ivy House Designs are : Fumblin’ Foe, Nick and Mo, Nally and Millie, BB Dakota, Jaloux, Hazel, Whish, and Level 99. I saw a couple of pretty dresses that would be perfect for a New Years Eve cocktail party or night out.

The store carries quality leather handbags from designers like SaltBox, Elite Models Fashion, Melie Bianco and more. It’s nice to know that you don’t have to go to the mall or elsewhere to find a good purse.

No look is complete without the jewelry and accessories. I love buying new jewelry to go with an oufit, I feel like it dresses it up so much more. Ivy House Designs carries a ton of unique and trendy jewelry to top off any look. They have jewelry pieces by John Wind, Lenora Dame, Pick Up Sticks, and Jan Michaels, as well as other accessories by designer Loren Bell.

I’m really excited that there is another boutique and gift store in Lakeland to do my holiday shopping at. I really try to avoid the mall at all costs this time of year, so I’m glad there is another option for doing so. For cute gifts, home accents, and beautiful designer clothing, bags and jewelry give Ivy House Designs a try!
