Have Yourself a Merry Green Christmas

My friend recently shared with me this really great website for the Holiday season. Focusorganic.com has “The Ultimate Green Christmas and Holiday Guide for 2009″ to help people make this Holiday season more eco-friendly. This website is easy to use and provides TONS of tips on how to have a “green” Christmas. It gives tips for decorating green, wrapping green and even eating and entertaining green. There is also lists of stores that have green, eco-friendly items split into different categories based on what you are looking for. For example, if you are looking to give someone a necklace this Christmas, Focusorganic’s Green Holiday Guide lists different retailers that use only eco-friendly, sustainable materials for their jewelry.
When you think about it, the holidays really are not the best time for our environment. Just think of all of the paper that is wasted on wrapping gifts and all of the plastic packaging, boxes, etc. that accumulates during the Christmas season. This site makes it easy to find alternatives that could have an impact on the environment we live in, so this Christmas don’t let the only thing green be your tree.
