The Coolest Store Around

December 1st, 2009 1:18 pm | by Kristy Myers

I have been driving by the 360 degrees Unlimited sign on S.Florida Avenue (next to Southside Cleaners) for months now trying to figure out what it was, and today I got my answer. Now, I don’t know about the rest of you, but I LOVE vintage items, especially vintage items priced right, and this new store, 360 degrees Unlimited , is the place to go for really cool vintage clothing, accessories, furniture and knick knacks.

Like I said, I have been driving by this store for a while now, looking at their retro window display and wondering what this place was all about. When I saw the “Open” sign in the window, I had to stop and check it out and I am glad I did. This store is unlike any store I have ever been in. The store is decorated really funky with retro lighting fixtures, posters of people like The Beatles and Jimi Hendrix (some of my favorites) and a really cool paint job. One side of the store is dedicated to vintage items and the other is full of gently used brand name clothing such as Abercrombie and Hollister.

The vintage side of the store has the largest collection of old leather coats that you would see someone wearing in the 60’s of 70’s that I have ever seen before. There are racks of vintage dresses, coats, shirts, etc. I saw some really great stuff, for example a retro 1960’s style jacket I saw was only $29.99! Aside from the awesome and “groovy” clothing, 360 degrees Unlimited has a bunch of different vintage furniture pieces and knick knacks. They have a ton of really cool vases and glass pieces, hanging lamps, table lamps, and much much more. Oh and I almost forgot, they also have vintage purses, shoes, sunglasses, and jewelry! I bought my boyfriend a pair of vintage, John Lennon style glasses that he had been looking for for years, for only $2.99, I was really excited this store had them! This store has so much to offer, you could literally spend an hour browsing the vintage side of the store alone and still not see everything.

The other side of the store has more purses, shoes, shirts and pants, except they are not vintage. There is over 100 pairs of jeans with brand names like Hollister, Abercrombie, American Eagle and more. All of the stuff I browsed through was in really great condition and priced well. This side of the store is packed with clothing and accessories as well, and to browse through everything would take some time.

360 degrees Unlimited officially opened October 30th, 2009, however they have not had their Grand Opening yet. One of the store employees told me that they would probably have the Grand Opening sometime in the next month or so. The store is open Tues-Saturday from 11am-7pm.

This store is going to be a great place to go to find a unique, retro gift for someone this Christmas without breaking the bank. I can’t wait to go back and spend more time browsing (and probably buying) their extensive collection of vintage and second hand goods. If you’ve also been curious about this place, I recommend going and seeing it for yourself, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
