One of the best things about the Christmas season is the music, and this upcoming weekend promises to be full of it with three concerts by local colleges.

The musical weekend kicks-off at Southeastern University Friday night. Southeastern University presents a night of Christmas music by the choir, band, wind ensemble and jazz band. The concert is FREE and begins at 7pm at the University’s Bush Chapel.

Saturday will bring even more Holiday music for all to hear at Florida Southern College’s Christmas Gala. Each year Florida Southern College puts on a Christmas gala to bring holiday cheer and music to the community as a part of the Festival of Fine Arts. The gala is performed by musicians of Florida Southern College including choral and instrumental ensembles. The gala begins at 7:30pm in the Branscomb Auditorium. Admission is $15 for the general public and FREE for students.

Lastly, Sunday will also be a day filled with Holiday music at Polk State College’s Student Music Concert. This FREE concert will feature Christmas music performed by the choral, instrumental, and jazz ensembles of Polk State College. The concert will be held on the Winter Haven campus in the Fine Arts Theatre from 2:30pm-4pm.
