Kick off Your Holiday Shopping This Weekend

November 10th, 2009 11:11 | by Kristy Myers

The Fancy Flea Vintage Home & Garden Market

This Saturday, November 14, will be a great opportunity to start your holiday shopping in the streets of downtown. The Fancy Flea Vintage Home & Garden Market will be happening downtown on Lemon Street between Kentucky and Massachusetts Ave from 10:00am until 5:00pm.

In my hometown up in New York, there are always art and craft festivals taking place. I love these kinds of events, they always have the coolest homemade jewelry, furniture, and decorations to browse or buy. The Fancy Flea Vintage Home & Garden Market sounds like one of these awesome events! The Fancy Flea Vintage Home & Garden Market will feature vintage furniture, garden accessories, holiday decorations and gifts, hand-made jewelry, shabby chic furniture, vintage jewelry, glassware, and more! Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be able to buy any of the vintage furniture, but I can’t wait to just browse the beautiful pieces they will have. I’m most excited to go and see what hand-made and vintage jewelry they have. I love unique and funky jewelry and if this event is anything like the craft fairs in NY then I’m sure there will be a lot of it for sale.

I know it’s hard to start thinking about holiday shopping this early, it’s not even Thanksgiving yet! However, unique gifts are always a hit and who says you can’t treat yourself to an early holiday present? Plus the weather is supposed to be nice on Saturday, 84 and sunny (according to Weather.com) so even if you aren’t ready to buy it will be a nice day to browse around downtown. This sounds like it will be a fun event and I can’t wait to see what they have for sale!

The Fancy Flea Vintage Home & Garden Market is Saturday November 14th from 10-5pm on Lemon Street in Downtown.
